7 New Netflix Shows You Can Watch This Weekend

On your days off, recharging should be your first priority. And what better way to do that than to plop yourself in front of your TV and watch a whole season (or series) of a fantastic show? It can be difficult to navigate through Netflix, however, especially if you're looking for something you haven't seen before. So we've rounded up a list of shows that are either brand new or just new on Netflix. Read on for some ideas of what to watch this weekend!

1 Feel Good

Comedian Mae Martin stars in the romantic dramedy Feel Good, the second season of which dropped on Netflix on June 4. Also a standup in the show, Mae starts a relationship with a woman (Charlotte Ritchie) who'd only dated men in the past and deals with her past (and possibly reemerging) substance use issues. Seeing as both seasons are made up of just six episodes, you can go from zero to totally caught up within the weekend.

2 Happy Endings

Good news for existing and emerging fans of this beloved, gone-too-soon sitcom: all three seasons of Happy Endings are now on Netflix! The Chicago-set show revolves around six besties, and if that sounds familiar, it should. With Eliza Coupe, Damon Wayans Jr.Adam PallyElisha CuthbertCasey Wilson, and Zachary KnightonHappy Endings is the even funnier successor to Friends. It was canceled in 2013, and we still miss it.

3 Sweet Tooth

Based on a comic book, the new fantasy series Sweet Tooth takes place in a world where some babies are born as animal and human hybrids. The tone is much more whimsical than scary, giving the show an offbeat fairytale quality.

4 Kim's Convenience

The fifth and final season of the acclaimed comedy, Kim's Convenience, is available to watch on Netflix right now. The sitcom revolves around a Korean-Canadian family who run a store in Toronto and is often mentioned in the same breath as Schitt's Creek, another heartwarming, funny show from our neighbors to the north. Among the cast, it features future Marvel superhero Simu Liu, who was tapped to star in the upcoming comic book flick Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

5 Human: The World Within

Per PBS, the documentary series Human: The World Within, which is now on Netflix, "uncovers not only the science behind how our bodies work, but how what's inside powers every moment of what we do out in the world."

6 Lucifer

After being canceled by Fox, Lucifer was rescued by Netflix, to the immense relief of fans. The second half of the fifth season of the comic book adaptation just premiered, continuing to follow the former king of hell (Tom Ellis) and Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) as they best criminals both mortal and otherworldly in Los Angeles.

7 Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story

Netflix now boasts Season 2 of the anthology series Dirty John, the first season of which starred Connie Britton as a single mother and Eric Bana as the dangerous con artist who targeted her. The second installment is also based on a true story—Amanda Peet plays Betty Broderick, a woman who unravels as her marriage falls apart.
