Michelle Obama, 52, is officially the chillest first lady, ever. Spanx founder, Sara Blakely, spoke to our sister site, Footwear News, at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon on Oct. 14th, and she revealed the dress code FLOTUS allowed, and it is the greatest thing ever.

Michelle told Sara to take her shoes off and go barefoot around the White House because her feet hurt and they even bonded about how heels kill your feet. Is that not the most amazing thing you’ve ever heard?
Sara was rocking a pair of Christian Louboutins during an event at the White House and she explained to Footwear News what happened next. “I stood in line at an event, and they allowed us to get a one-on-one photo with Michelle Obama. I waited in the line so long that by the time I finally got up to Michelle Obama, I literally burst out, ‘My feet are killing me,’ and she goes, ‘Girl, my feet are killing me, too.’ I asked if I can take my shoes off and she said, ‘Yes, and you can tell anyone who tells you to put them back on that Mrs. Obama said you can take them off,'” Sara said.

She even went so far to say, “The first lady and I bonded over sore feet.” How hilarious is that? Michelle is literally the most down-to-earth first lady and the fact that her guest are allowed to roam around barefoot, makes us want to chill with Michelle in our pajamas — do you agree?
