Devon Still & His Family
Retired NFL player Devon Still and his daughter, Leah Still, are pictured here at the American Icon Awards Gala in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles on May 19, 2019. Devon and Leah’s bond won over sports fans’ hearts after Leah was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2014. Her chance of survival was only 50/50, but Devon never left his little one’s side as she fought the deadly cancer. He even played in the practice squad for the Cincinnati Bengals to support his daughter (he was eventually promoted to the active roster).
By March of 2015, Leah’s doctors confirmed she was in remission. Now, Devon and Leah celebrate this important milestone every year! Despite Devon’s time in the NFL, battling cancer and caring for his daughter became Devon’s No. 1 priority after that life-changing diagnosis in 2014. He and Leah even set out to help other cancer victims with their Still Strong Foundation, which they founded in 2015.
