Lauren Wasser
Lauren Wasser is an inspiring model and activist. She walked a number of the most famous runways in the world, including New York Fashion Week, but in 2014, things took a horrible turn. Having developed toxic shock syndrome from using a tampon, Lauren was struck with the loss of her first leg in 2014. In 2018, Lauren, unfortunately, had to have her second leg amputated as a result of the horrible affliction. Since then, Lauren has turned her sights on activism, and has continued to be a beacon of hope for showing the medical world and general public the very real cost of feminine hygiene products not meeting the necessary standards to keep women safe.
