Lil’ Chris, born Christopher James Hardman on August 26, 1990, was an English singer-songwriter, actor, and television personality. Chris skyrocketed to fame after appearing on the Channel 4 series ‘Rock School.’ During his life, Chris released two albums — his self-titled album in 2006 and 2008’s ‘What’s It All About.’
Chris’s two albums had four singles. His most popular was ‘Checkin’ It Out,’ which hit No. 3 on the UK charts. 2006’s ‘Gettin’ Enough’ made it to No. 17, while his latter two singles — ‘Figure It Out’ and ‘We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off’ — didn’t break to top 50.
Chris sadly took his own life on March 23, 2015 at the age of 24. Chris had struggled with depression as his career began to falter. He was mourned by a number of fans who were deeply affected by his passing.
