The 2021 Tokyo Olympics have begun! Following a one-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Summer Olympics have kicked off with athletes from all over the world flyign to Tokyo, Japan to win big for their respective country. The Games will see the usual competing sports like basketball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming and more, as well as new competitions like freestyle BMX and 3×3 basketball.
Team USA, as always, is an odds on favorite to take home a plethora of gold medals. They have a number of legendary athletes representing them this go around, such as Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird, Kevin Durant, Naomi Graham, and more. Here, legendary gymnast Simone Biles is met with cheers from American supporters while walking to her gate for her flight to Tokyo for the Summer Olympicson July 14.
